Katy Shand is a designer, researcher and multi-disciplinary maker.  Her work centres around themes of social sustainability and manifests a use of making to interrogate future needs and generate narrative. She graduated from MA Material Futures at London's Central St Martins in 2016.

Katy first trained as an embroidery designer at The Glasgow School of Art and has over eight years experience in the fashion and textiles industry.  Her clients have included Sonia Rykiel, Topshop, Wrangler and Paper London.  She has frequently collaborated on retail design projects - creating textile installations for window displays, press events and retail spaces.
