Katy Shand is a researcher and multi-disciplinary designer.  Her work centres around themes of social sustainability and manifests a use of making to interrogate future needs and generate narrative.

Katy is currently freelance researcher and cultural strategist at futures research agency FranklinTill

Having first trained as an embroidery designer at The Glasgow School of Art Katy has over eight years experience in the fashion and textiles industry.  Global clients include Sonia Rykiel, Topshop, Wrangler and Paper London.
